The perspective i used on my painting is the 1 point perspective.
The photo i took was in the mountains with my 5 cousins, 2 brothers, and grandparents. we were eating dinner at this cool restaurant right by the lake. what i found difficult about the painting was trying to match colors. the two warm ups i picked helped me because it taught me where to focus my paint at and how to paint with different techniques.

The activity i found most helpful in the learning process was definitely the watercolor techniques page, it helped me learn how to paint with watercolors and what techniques to use when i want a certain outcome.
what i like about watercolor is that it is fun to paint with and the finished product looks so cool. what i found difficult about watercolor is that it is somewhat hard to control. Value - element of design that defies the light and darks in an artwork
Composition - the arrangement of visual elements in a work of art Pros of charcoal is that it it can be really easy to show value of something cons of charcoal is that it dusts off easily Pros of pencil is that it isn't permanent and that it can be erased cons of pencil is that it it doesn't really define things Pros of pen is that it is bold and fun cons of pen is that it doesnt show value, it is all the same color and shade and it is permanent. 1. What i learned from these activities is that texture and color are really hard to match but also really important to the picture
2. i think that the textures will be most helpful for the painting i have planned because it will help define features in the painting 3. i learned the most from the skin colors warm up because it taught me that skin colors aren't dull and that some are more reddish and warm and others are more pale and cold. 4. some ways to make brown are to mix darker colors with yellow and then to add white or a little bit of black. 5. to tone down a color, you add a little bit of black or brown |
